Spring 2020
Climate Change, Ethics, and Development

During the spring of my junior year, I studied abroad with the school for field studies in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Although our program was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I still had a very thorough and formative experience. We went on a three week tour around the country to conduct field research, qualitative interviews, and field trips to learn about many of the environmental and social issues that Cambodia faces In particular, we learned about the loss of livelihoods and migration patterns due to the stressors of globalization, urbanization, and climate change.
